I spend most of my days in front of a screen,
working from home, no fresh air to breathe....
I sometimes wonder what is going on outside,
as the sun breaks through my office blinds.
"Tech" can become like an anchor and chain
as I'm tied to the desk with emails again;
the expectations of responding, with meetings
and calls - no time for a coffee or to go for a walk.
And yet I am speaking to those far and wide,
Australia, India and London at times.
Isn't it amazing to think that we all
can be connected in seconds on a video or call.
As I think of those who live alone in their homes,
what a blessing "Tech" has become, you are
no longer alone...with laptops and smartphones,
and social media too, friends, family and colleagues
can be seen or spoken to....at a press of a button
that is all that it takes, to connect, catch up
and to smile and engage.
Thank you Dear Lord for the works of your
hands for giving talents to innovate,
create and expand the "Tech" of the future,
whatever it might be.. let it bring people together
in peace and harmony.

Whilst I share your gratitude I also share the experience of many many hours in front of a computer screen - much more so this side of the pandemic. I looked out at beautiful blue skies all day yesterday but by the time I managed to get out for a run it had gone dark.
