Living Water

Cool, refreshing water,

a gift from God,

flowing from the heart of the Creator;

nourishing, cleansing, life-giving...

a blessing for all.

Yet polluted, dirty water,

the consequence of human hands,

poisoned rivers,

destroying abundant life,

a scourge upon our world.

Rivers run low,

wetlands dry,

habitats disappear,

and living things struggle to survive.

Creation cries out for mercy,

for healing,

for renewal.

In this Season of Creation,

we remember Living Water -

water that sustains the earth,

and water that refreshes the soul.

Lord,

let your living water flow

into our hearts, our minds and our souls.

Refresh us.

Renew us.

Open our eyes to the beauty and fragility of your creation.

And let your love flow through us today,

so that we may not only pray for change,

but become part of it.
