Mountain splendour hid from sight but then reveal Your Glory bright,
rain clouds part and light appears, lost grey silhouettes turn to colour and so clear.
I can see the beauty of the wild in it's natural created space,
no blemish to be found, Your creation wide awake..
Here as in the heavens I stand upon this mound, stillness,
calm and peace is found.
High above, where earth meets sky, land meets sea and full of life.
Farmland, sandbanks and dense woodland too, breath-taking moments
to take in and view. I've witnessed lambs a-frolicking, birds singing and in flight, I've opened gates and climbed steep stiles, feeling the cool rain upon my face.
On top of the world I feel right now, so close to nature, so close to You...
Creator God, your love is so clear for all that has life, like you said "It is Good!".
An encounter to treasure, to remember and give praise for the wonders right before me...just a measure of Your grace.
(A poem written after a walk from Harlech over Moel Geodog with views over Portmeirion, the estuary, and the Llyn).
